Methodology
Monthly thematic cycles, a clear common thread.
PREMIER COURS · 04 ÉTAPES
Tu sais exactement à quoi t'attendre avant même de pousser la porte.
You arrive, we greet you and show you the mat and the changing rooms. No test, no pressure.
Mobility, ground movement, breakfalls. Your body eases into the session.
The coach demonstrates, breaks it down, then you drill it with a partner matched to your level.
Light, controlled situations. You try, you fail, you try again. That is when it clicks.
Technical work, situational drilling, controlled sparring. We build a coherent game—from top to bottom, passing to submitting—ensuring every belt marks a true milestone in your progression.
MÉTHODE · 03 PILIERS
Une approche construite, chaque pilier a sa place dans ta progression.
Monthly thematic cycles, a clear common thread.
Multiple slots per week to fuel your progress.
A tight-knit team, from beginner to competitor.

TON COACH · SUR LE TATAMI
« Le tatami ne ment pas. Il révèle. »

PRATIQUE
01
A t-shirt and shorts or leggings, no pockets or zips. A gi or rashguard is lent to you for the trial class.
02
Enough time to change calmly and meet the coach before the class starts.
03
Essential: you walk in slides between the changing room and the mat, then train barefoot. That is what keeps the mat clean for everyone. Short nails, no jewellery.
04
A water bottle and a towel. We take care of the rest.
QUESTIONS FRÉQUENTES
In the gi, fabric grips open a slower, more technical game: collar and sleeve controls, specific chokes. In no-gi there is nothing to grip, so everything moves faster and relies on body control. Both are taught at NewArt Wavre and complement each other.
For adults: white, blue, purple, brown, black, with stripes in between. Progress is measured in years of consistent training rather than exams: the coach looks at attendance, understanding and attitude on the mat.
Two sessions a week are enough to progress clearly in the first year. Three or more speeds things up. The weekly gi slots are listed above on this page.
No. A gi is lent for the trial class. You only buy one if you decide to continue, and we advise you on size and cut.
Yes. The Saturday morning slot is aimed at beginners, and in the other classes groups are formed by experience so everyone works at the right level.
