PREMIER COURS · 04 ÉTAPES

Ton premier cours, minute par minute.

Tu sais exactement à quoi t'attendre avant même de pousser la porte.

  1. T-10 MIN

    Welcome

You arrive, we greet you and show you the mat and the changing rooms. No test, no pressure.

  2. 00-10

    Warm-up

Mobility, ground movement, breakfalls. Your body eases into the session.

  3. 10-40

    Technique

The coach demonstrates, breaks it down, then you drill it with a partner matched to your level.

  4. 40-60

    Putting it together

Light, controlled situations. You try, you fail, you try again. That is when it clicks.

A specific program geared for performance: No-Gi Pro, intensified sparring, rules & referee management, fight cardio, video analysis, and strategy. Coached by Shaï Gerena, international competitor and member of the Belgian national team.

TON COACH · SUR LE TATAMI

Tu seras entre les mains de Shaï.

« Le tatami ne ment pas. Il révèle. »

PRATIQUE

Ce qu'il te faut.

  • 01

    Sportswear

A t-shirt and shorts or leggings, no pockets or zips. A gi or rashguard is lent to you for the trial class.

  • 02

    Arrive 10 minutes early

Enough time to change calmly and meet the coach before the class starts.

  • 03

    Slides or flip-flops

Essential: you walk in slides between the changing room and the mat, then train barefoot. That is what keeps the mat clean for everyone. Short nails, no jewellery.

  • 04

    Water

A water bottle and a towel. We take care of the rest.

QUESTIONS FRÉQUENTES

Tu te poses sûrement ces questions.

What level do I need to join the competition class?

You need solid fundamentals and regular sparring, whatever your belt. Coming through the regular no-gi and gi classes is the natural route in; the coach confirms the right moment with you.

Which competitions does the team enter?

The Belgian and European circuit: IBJJF tournaments, Grappling Industries, ADCC Opens, plus the NewArt Championship the academy hosts in Wavre.

Is the coach there on competition day?

Yes. The team travels together and the coach is mat-side: warm-up, game plan, corner coaching during the match and a debrief afterwards.

Do I need extra strength and conditioning?

The Pro sessions already include combat cardio and match-intensity rounds. Complementary strength work is recommended during a competition camp, and we point you in the right direction.

Can I attend the competition class without ever competing?

Yes. Many come for the intensity and the quality of the rounds. Competing stays a personal choice, never a condition.
